In many ways I am a symbiotic oxymoron, I am an Intuitive Scientist and a Sporty Nerd.

This beautiful combination allows me to analyse and diagnose based on evidence based practices and treat you as a whole person not just a hip, knee or shoulder.

I am a health care provider with the assessment, analysis and diagnostic skills of a physiotherapist, the hands of a massage therapist and the knowledge of a human biologist.

Al Bevan’s Background and Qualifications:

Al Bevan

Hi, my name is Alistair but you can call me Al.

I have been interested in the holistic form of healing since the late 90’s and have been very privileged to be working in this area for the last few years.

My initial studies were at a local College qualifying in Diploma of Remedial Massage, which included Swedish, Therapeutic, Remedial and Sports Massage.

I have also the privilege of training in Ka Huna (Lomi lomi) Bodywork, I have achieved 7 levels through ‘High Spirits’, Kin Kin, Queensland. This modality is a beautiful form of body work that has so many dimensions and it is an honour to give in my journey as a body worker. I have also had the joy of learning Polynesian Floor Massage through ‘High Spirits’ and love being able to offer alternatives to traditional western massage techniques.

Another of the modalities which I enjoy employing is Modern Cupping Therapy, I find this an effective and efficient form of treatment which works well in conjunction with Remedial, Sports, and Therapeutic Massage.

My continuous journey of learning continues daily as I work with my clients to assist them to achieve ultimate wellness. I enjoy going to short courses and workshops to develop and improve my techniques and service, and love being able to add more strings to my bow of manual therapies. I have been in customer service roles all my working life and find this role as a massage therapist second to none.

I also hold Certificate 3 in Recreational Leadership and Tourism, Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment.

I am available for appointments for:

  • Massage – Sports, Remedial and Relaxation
  • Lomi Lomi & KaHuna Massage
  • Polynesian Floor Massage
  • Modern Cupping
  • Traditional East-West Cupping
  • Reiki
