Jo has evolved into an integrative holistic physiotherapist. Her passion is in her pursuit of answering the question – ‘what is true health & how can we each attain it’. The answers are always evolving as new science emerges. She understands how our body, mind & spirit influence our overall health and contribute to the onset of many injuries and illnesses. Using the latest in Evidence Based science she understands how the science & spiritual meld and influence each other and how our life experiences, beliefs and mindset can influence our biology.
Jo uses a number of techniques to address a variety of conditions. Her main holistic manual therapy diagnostic and treatment technique is Fascial Manipulation by Stecco. As the fascia surrounds every cell in the body it links skin, organs, head, muscles etc together in a functioning interdependent unit. It takes into account a person’s whole health and injury history to see where blocks may be occurring and influencing health and movement. It allows a framework to link injuries in various parts of the body at the same time and may assist in understanding why injuries have spread or always occur on the same side etc or how internal organ function can be influencing or causing a physical symptom.
